Auto marking options can be accessed by right-clicking on any picture in the listing. Different options are available depending on the list. Unless otherwise is stated, all these options effect only pictures displayed at the current tolerance level.

Smart mark duplicates - This auto marking filter is the most powerful in PhotoSort. It goes trough all duplicate groups and leaves only one picture unmarked so you can get rid of duplicates in only a few clicks. What picture will be kept depends on file size and dimensions of all pictures in the group - the largest one is kept and in case two or more pictures have the same file size the one with greater dimensions is kept.

Newly cached pictures - This filter will mark all pictures that were recently added to the picture collection. Caching must be enabled and cache file must exist for this filter to work.

All from this folder - This filter will mark all pictures that are contained in the same folder as the picture user has right clicked.

Pictures of type - This will open another menu that will let you chose extension based on which pictures will be marked. For example it can mark all bitmap (BMP) pictures at once.

Mark by size - In the dialog box that will open you can enter the size in kilobytes (KB) and specify if you want all pictures with size equal to, less than or greater than the specified to be marked.

Mark by dimensions - In the dialog box that will open you can enter width and height in pixels and specify if you want all pictures with dimensions (width multiplied by height) equal to, less than or greater than the specified to be marked.

Custom path / name mask - In the dialog box that will open you can enter path mask that will be used as a filter for marking pictures. All pictures who's path and name match specified mask will be marked. Wildcard symbols ? and * are supported. The question mark substitutes any one character while asterisks substitutes many characters.
